Routine check ups not only allow us to inspect for decay and gum disease but provide a chance for us to identify any loose fillings, bite problems, swellings, breath problems (halitosis) and oral cancer. Problems caught early, are easily corrected, quickly, and painlessly. The old adage 'prevention is better than cure' is never more applicable than in dentistry.
