At the CGDP the majority of our filling work is carried out using state-of-the-art bonded composite resins and glass ionomers. These composites are durable, metal and mercury free and, above all, highly aesthetic. We can shade-match the filling so that it is invisible against the tooth. Fillings are the primary restorative technique for decayed teeth and with these modern materials the preparation of the damaged tooth is much more conservative.
If you have old mercury amalgam fillings present, we will be happy to discuss replacing them with invisible, tooth coloured, fillings. All our dentists are trained in the very best pain control techniques and we aim to provide a 100% pain-free appointment.
