Andrew grew up in Lancashire, and was educated at Bolton School. His dental training was carried out at Kings College London, where he qualified with honours, and a distinction in Dental Surgery in 1982.
After qualifying, Andrew was invited to stay on in the dental hospital to work in the children's dental department. Conquering the treatment of fractious children provided him with the skills to treat any nervous patient with confidence.
Andrew moved into general practice in 1983, working in Claygate, Battersea, and Clapham. Very many of the patients he cared for then, still see him now 26 years on.
In 1994 he established CGDP, which was amongst the first wave of wholly private, non-Harley Street dental practices in London. This award winning practice, in a fabulous location, has blossomed to become the leading practice in the area, with over 7000 faithful patients.
Andrew enjoys all aspects of dentistry, and is just as happy to scale and polish teeth as he is to carry out a full mouth reconstruction. State of the art tooth whitening, minimally invasive cosmetic dentistry, veneers, tooth coloured fillings and fresh breath treatments are particular strengths.
Andrew has been over the years, and remains at the forefront of championing anti-discrimination against HIV/AIDS patients with television, radio and magazine interviews.
During 15 years in Covent Garden he has amassed a highly respected, able and extremely loyal team in order to provide a very wide range of dental, cosmetic, surgical and orthodontic services expected of a modern Central London practice.
In the prestigious 2008 Private Dentistry awards he was shortlisted for 'Private Dentist Of The Year' and won the 'Best Dental Employer' category.
Outside the practice, Andrew's interests include walking, skiing, gardening, classic cars, The Landmark and National Trusts and collecting dental ephemera.
