Mark qualified with honours in 2003 from Dublin Dental Hospital, after which he spent time as a house officer working with consultants in many fields of dentistry. Additionally he provided oral surgery services to the Dublin prisons, and taught undergraduates.
He then worked briefly in private practice in Dublin, before moving to London, where he worked in practices in West London and Canary Wharf before moving to CGDP.
Mark has a keen interest in the latest dental bonding techniques, and has strengths in minimally invasive, ultra-conservative dentistry, used to great effect in smile improvements, and replacement of unaesthetic older restorations. State of the art whitening and invisible orthodontics are other strengths.
He has a particular interest also in treating nervous patients, and those with particular dental phobias, enjoying a reputation for converting these patients into ones who enjoy coming into see him. This is achieved through slow, gradual desensitisation, and excellent communication allied with pain free dentistry delivery.
Outside of the practice, Mark enjoys playing the piano (seen occasionally in some local establishments), and travelling. He recently became involved with Bridge2Aid, a UK charity based in Tanzania, where he travelled to provide basic dental training to those on the frontline of healthcare in the region.
