Nayeem qualified in dentistry at UCH in 1988 with distinction and honours. He followed this with his medical qualifications in 1994, also at UCH. In 1997, Nayeem was awarded the Fellowship in Dental Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons which led to a 5 year higher surgical training programme in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at St Bartholomews and the Royal London hospitals; this was completed in July 2002.
In April 2002, Nayeem was appointed as Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon to Whipps Cross University Hospital, Barts and the London NHS trust. He has recently been appointed as Clinical Director. He now lectures for the MFDS course at the Royal College of Surgeons. His interests lie in surgical dentistry and the treatment of facial deformity and treatment of facial trauma.
Nayeem provides oral surgery services under local anaesthesia at CGDP on a referral basis, generally once a month on Fridays.
