Rarely has the judging panel had such a difficult deceision to make in selecting a winning practice from a wealth of strong candidates.

Thus, by definition to triumph this year a practice had to be exceptional in so many ways.

Our winners have inspired, awed and stunned the judges with their achievements, growth, team spirit acumen and provision of care.

Many practices can impress on the outside (which our winner undoubtedly does) but search for substance and it could lack a tru track record or not have sufficient substance to be a truly inspirational winner. This statement could never be applied to our selection this year.

This practice is a well-established presence in its locale and despite being a large team has enviable levels of staff retention and length of service.

Business success has provided average growth of more than 10% per annum and has been aided and augmented with innovative use of management models quite possibly unique in dentistry.

A cosmopolitan team serving a mixed community, the blend is the ideal mix for the practice to thrive – amply demonstrated by glowing patient testimonials. The team works hard but plays hard together as well. So helping to create a bond that was obvious to the judges and ensures that the practice’s multiple charitable ventures are undertaken in good spirit.

Individual development is encouraged and viewed positively contributing to optimum customer satisfaction.

This practice is celebrating a significant anniversary of its own this year.

This practice told the judging panel that it believed patient care should be considered as a ‘whole package’.

The entry certainly demonstrated that the practice understood that philosophy – incorporating it into all of its processes and systems.

Each staff member has a clearly defined role and specific responsibilities throughout the patient journey. They take personal responsibility and appreciate the vital nature of their contribution to the overall experience of their practice. They specialise in the personal touch, welcoming a diverse metropolitan patient demographic and while retaining all of their essential core services, tailor the ancillary services to suit their clientele’s expectations.

Business planning utilising staff incentives, appraisals, performance-related pay and psychology has created an enviable team spirit and ethic that provides outstanding results with this long-serving team, impressing the judges with its commitment to ‘total’ care.

Best Team Less than 20 Employees South

This practice is currently celebrating its 20-year anniversary. The judges noted commendable growth in patient numbers of an average of 10% per annum even through the recession.

This was due to a wonderful cohesive team who work hard both for their patients and each other.

These colleagues represent a definition of diversity with 13 languages being spoken and a wide age range noted. All employees are encouraged to grow individually and as part of the whole team. Performance is monitored, appraised and guided. Loyalty to the practice is commendable with an average of 11 years service being recorded.

Team meetings are regular, structured and produced worthwhile results, benefiting the business as a whole.

Team building events are innovative exciting and suitably rewarding for this outstanding group of professionals.
